Love Bombing: Romantic or Red Flag?

Love Bombing: Romantic or Red Flag?

What is Love Bombing?

…Its examples and dangers…

Love bombing is a term used to describe a situation in which a person is targeted by someone they are dating or otherwise romantically involved with affection, attention, and kindness. The person who “loves bombs” will show their feelings in an intrusive and abusive manner, sometimes by using bullying tactics. In a subtle way, it implies that there’s something wrong with the person being bombarded.

One example of love bombing is when someone wants you to go out with them. They’ll ask you over and over again, even if all you want is to say no. They’ll constantly call or text you, show up at your house uninvited, or send gifts or flowers all the time—and if you finally relent and agree to go out with them, they’ll treat you poorly so that it feels like a failure on your part.

Another example: Someone who has been dumped by their partner will try everything possible to get their ex back by showering them with attention and flattery (and maybe even gifts). If this person succeeds in getting their ex back into their life again for a while, then when things fall apart again—they’ll blame everything on their ex’s behavior toward them during those times when things were good between them!

Love bombing can be dangerous to the person targeted because it can cause them to question their feelings and their worth. It can also have a negative impact on their self-esteem, which can lead to unhealthy relationships in the future.

The best way to avoid being love bombed is to simply be aware of what your partner may be trying to do. For example, if you notice that your partner is becoming obsessive about you, or if they seem to want you for no other reason than for your identity rather than for who you are as an individual, then it’s likely that something is wrong with the relationship. However, addressing it immediately before it becomes too serious for either party involved to handle on its own or without professional help will help prevent any upcoming issue from arising.
