JetBlue – A great airline with fantastic prices! I know I am predjudice here – as my daughter Stephana is a Supervisor and Trainer for the airlines, working from the Orlando hub. If you are able to fly JetBlue, consider them first. I wish they flew out of Phila – or Atlantic City, NJ, but my closest location would be Newark. Check them out first, if an airport with JetBlue is close to you! Their service and prices are the best!
Also, my other daughter, Alexi, was nominated by JetBlue for their “True Blue” to your Passion campaign, and feature Alexi and her EPIC charity on billboards, in magazines, subway posters and more. Thank you, JetBlue for treating my daughters fantastic!
Spirit – I love that Spirit flies out of ACY – Atlantic City, NJ, making our flights to Florida and Cancun so much easier then needing to go to Phila airport!. The best thing – minimal lines, fast check-in service, the bar/restaurant in the ACY facility is right next to your gate – small, easy, and convenient. LOVE the $9 Fare club that gets me great prices. But Spirit is going crazy with extra fees, baggage weights, and MUCH smaller seats on the planes, making the ride very uncomfortable if you have a long trip – absolutely no leg room. AHHHH – ! Thanks to Captain John G. for making our flights so safe; hey – have any input into larger seats for your passengers?
Alamo – Fort Lauderdale airport: we reserved a 2-door econoomy car – ask for an upgrade to 4-door for the same price! No hassle, no lines, and we DID get to pick out our own car – that was cool. Fast, courteous service, we’re fans for life! Go Alamo!!
Advantage – Fort Lauderdale – over an hour wait because the computer went down (but other terminals for other dealers were working), which made us loose precious time in the sun. We paid for an upgrade to a mid-sized Camery, but it had no Key fob entry – it was a real low brand of Toyota. Sorry guys, we tried you once, and won’t be back.
Euro-Rail – The train system from Paris to Amsterdam was the best. Clean, comfortable, roomy, fast, and on-time; if you ever thought of trying to tour around Europe taking the train system, go for it! The prices are very reasonable, and can be for a one-way, round trip, or a pass program that can take you to several countries. Check it out – its a lot less hassle then flying from country to country when the distance is fairly short.
The Spirit Dinner Cruise – Baltimore, MD. Jimmy surprised me with this great dinner/.dance cruise for my birthday during a September weekend in Baltimore. The staff sang and danced pre-dinner, there was a buffet, and a great DJ after dinner while the ship cruised into the sunset. Jimmy arranged roses, champagne and special chocolates for me, and a private table by the window. The staff was great, and the dinner, I’d rate it a B. But we had a romantic evening, the perfect sunset, and lots of dancing. We’d recommend this romantic evening on the Baltimore Inner Harbor to anyone.
Before boarding ship, be sure to shop the great stores of the Inner Harbor Malls.
Lewes Ferry – from Cape May, NJ to Lewes, DE. A great way to spend a long day together on the Atlantic ocean, being on this mini -curise ship. Going from Cape May to Lewes takes about 1 hour, and costs about $25 per person (without the car). There is a bar room and food you can buy – nothing fancy, but relaxing none the less.
When you arrive, you can tour and shop around Lewes Delaware, or take the free bus to Rehoboth Beach. The beach is fun, and there is a long avenue of shops and restaurants to enjoy. A great romantic day trip at a reasonable rate!
